A. GOER (Acts 13:2,5)
1. A goer, in the context of missions, is someone who is sent and crosses boundaries (geographical, spiritual, and ethnic/cultural barriers) and shares the Gospel of Christ.
2. New Testament examples: Paul, Barnabas, and John Mark
B. MOBILIZER (Acts 13:2-4; 14:26-28)
1. A mobilizer is empowered by the Holy Spirit to emphasize the message, vision and strategies for the advancement of the Kingdom of God through the local church activating every disciple in their assigned roles, toward the fulfillment of the Great Commission in this generation.
2. New Testament examples: The Church in Antioch
C. INTERCESSOR (Acts 13:1-3)
1. An intercessor is someone who is called to pray, petition and to beg in favor of another person. An intercessor oftentimes “stands in the gap” on behalf of someone before God. (Ezekiel 22:30; Isaiah 59:15-16; 1 Timothy 2:1)
2. New Testament examples: Simeon, Lucius and Manaen
D. SENDER (Romans 10:14-15; 15:24; 2 Corinthians 8:1-5; 3 John 1:5-8)
1. A sender is someone who is committed to provide financial, emotional, spiritual and practical support to front-line missionaries.
2. New Testament examples: The Churches in Rome, Macedonia and Ephesus
Conclusion:
Our response to the Great Commission:
1. We will be committed to the unreached.
2. We will be concentrating to a longer and deeper holistic transformation.
3. We will be cooperating with local and international missionary efforts.
4. We will respond to our assigned calling as a:
