Introduction
• Self obsession clouds our ability to clearly see God's divine revelation.
• With God's proposed question to Elijah “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?”
• We find that it is His INVITATION to have Elijah REDIRECT his focus onto The Lord.
• Too much focus on self can cause us to lose sight of the plans & mission God has for our lives.
• How do we fix our attention on the Lord again?
- We turn down the noise to tune into his voice.
- Sometimes the Lord will allow us to walk through the wilderness for this purpose of cleansing our spiritual palate, to pique our spiritual senses, and compel us to seek Him with a fresh new way.
- The God of fire & rain is now communicating with His prophet through a “low whisper”
- When His servants are afraid, He gently whispers.
• What man rejects, God propels
• What man forsakes, God embraces
• What man breaks, God restores
