Introduction
A. Paul’s legacy is defined.
1. He viewed his life as an offering (v.6)
2. His legacy has an enormous and lasting impact.
B. Paul’s legacy is refined.
1. It was refined through seasons of waiting (Gal. 1:15-18, NLT)
2. It was refined through life’s struggles (v. 7)
C. Paul’s legacy has perspective.
1. He has a sense of urgency (vs. 6-7)
2. He built a balanced legacy between the temporal (Acts 18:3; Rom. 13:6; Acts 23:16-17) and the eternal (v. 8)
3. He kept his eternal focus.
• On the reward (v. 8)
• On Jesus and His return (v. 8; Heb. 12:2)
• On his new home (Col. 3:1-3 NLT)
