Introduction
Life is like….
1. GOD'S PEOPLE ARE UNIQUE
The genealogy of Jesus is filled with individuals from different backgrounds and significant flaws and failures. (Joshua 2:1; Ruth 4:5; Chronicles 22:8)
2. GOD'S PLAN IS UNWAVERING
God chose people from diverse backgrounds and transformed their stories into a beautiful narrative of hope and redemption. (James 2:25; Ruth 1:16; Acts 13:36)
3. GOD'S PROMISES ARE UNSHAKEABLE
Despite the ups and downs of those in Jesus' family tree, God's plan for salvation remained intact. This lineage is a testament to God's commitment to humanity. (Genesis 22:18; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:20-23)
4. GOD'S PURPOSE IS UNFINISHED
Jesus' lineage is filled with imperfect people, reflecting His mission to redeem and transform broken lives. We, as believers, are now invited and included in God's beautiful redemptive story. (Galatians 3:29; Ephesians 2:10; Hebrews 11:39-40)
Conclusion
Just as the Star of Bethlehem pointed to Jesus, our lives are called to reflect His light and lead others to Him.
