The abundant life that God has for you and me is found in Jesus who said about Himself:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
(John 3:16)
“I am the bread of life. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh.”(John 6:48, 51a)
“I am the resurrection and the life.” (John 11:25a)
Apostle John said this about Jesus:
“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of
God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12)
Apostle Paul said these about Jesus:
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who
loved me and gave himself for me.”(Galatians 2:20)
Reflective Questions:
1. How much of Jesus can you have? Jesus said, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20)
How much of Jesus you can have will depend on how much room you will allow Him to occupy in your life.
2. How much of you will Jesus have? Apostle Paul said, “But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is
more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I
consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.” (Philippians 3:7-8)
How much of you Jesus will have depends on how much of you is given and consecrated to Jesus.
