Forgiveness and Letting Go

Forgiveness and Letting Go – Charisma Life Church

test_scg1Seven different research groups, including the Stanford Forgiveness Project, made similar conclusions:

1. Unforgiveness could affect our sleep or appetite, and we could become depressed.

2. Forgiveness has health benefits: the primary beneficiary is the person who is doing the forgiving.

3. The key predictors of forgiveness are: the intent to forgive, the receiving of apology, the capacity for empathy, and the capacity to manage or control reaction.

4. The process of forgiveness starts with the decision to forgive.

5. Most importantly, we need to remember that forgiveness is for you—not someone else.

The Bible is thousand of years ahead and has a better message on forgiveness than the secular teaching on forgiveness. Please listen carefully to today’s sermon on forgiveness. Follow the sermon outline in the middle of the bulletin, not only for your Life Group discussion, but also for your biblical study on forgiveness.
