Glow in Your Freedom

Glow in Your Freedom – Charisma Life Church

worshipTo glow means to shine, or to radiate like glowing with health, or glowing with joy. The freedom that Christ provides is basically freedom from sin, which is more basic than freedom from sickness or freedom from poverty, because one can be healthy and wealthy but a slave of sin.

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:31-36)

Freedom from sin is given to those who believe in Jesus and hold to His teaching as His disciples (John 8:31).

1. This is freedom not to sin or freedom to stop practicing sin (Rom. 6:1-2, 11-14; 1 John 3:9).

2. This is freedom from the power of the sin nature in us (Rom. 7:15-25).

3. This is freedom to live for Christ who died for us (2 Cor. 5:14-15; Phil. 1:21).

4. This is freedom to shine as light of the world (Matt. 5:14-16). Glowing in your freedom is emanating the glory of Christ as a believer who is indwelt by Christ (Col. 1:27).

Glowing in your freedom as a believer is worshiping God by saying with our words and deeds, “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.” (Rom. 11:35-36).
