An air nautical dictum says, “Your attitude determines your altitude.” Spiritually, our attitude also determines our altitude: how high our life will soar toward God.
Ingratitude toward God is like a ton of bricks that will pull us down spiritually.
The cost of our freedom from sin was extremely sacrificial, for which we should be grateful to God.
The cost to God the Father was His Son (John 3:16).
The cost to God’s Son was His life (John 10:11).
God’s extreme sacrifice for our freedom is the reason for our attitude of gratitude (2 Corinthians 9:15).
To show our gratitude to God,
1. Stop sinning (John 5:14; 8:10-11)
2. Start serving God (Colossians 3:17)
3. Sacrifice to follow Christ (Mark 8:34)
4. Sing praises to God in worship (Ephesians 5:19-20; Hebrews 13:15)
5. Support Christ’s global mission (Matthew 28:18-20)
