Biblical teachings regarding the LORD of our NEEDS:

King David testified: The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (Psalm 23:1,6).  Like Ding David, can you surely say, “The LORD is my shepherd,” so that you can confidently say, “I shall not be in want?

The Lord Jesus promised:  So do not worry, saying, `What shall we eat?’ or `What shall we drink?’ or `What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matt. 6:31-33).  Is God’s kingdom and righteousness first priority in your life?

Apostle Paul wrote to the generous Philippian Christians:  And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19).  Do you qualify to apply this promise to yourself for being a generous Christian?

Practical Insight:  Do your met or unmet needs draw you closer to God, or farther from God?  It’s your choice.
